Santa Cruz Premier & Team Hardwood University
Spring Season Basketball Tryouts
Join us for Spring Season Basketball tryouts designed for athletes who want to continue growing their game in a structured, high-level team environment. Santa Cruz Premier and Team Hardwood University provide a development-first experience where players are challenged, supported, and taught how to apply real basketball skills in live play.
For high school athletes, spring basketball creates an important space for continued development outside the school environment, allowing players to receive focused coaching and meaningful reps that help every athlete grow — not just those already established in a rotation. For younger athletes, it’s a chance to strengthen fundamentals, decision-making, and confidence through meaningful team competition.
Our focus is simple: help players return to their school seasons stronger, smarter, and more prepared.

Our Development Philosophy
We understand that spring basketball decisions can sometimes feel complicated for families. Our belief is that athletes grow best when they are able to train and compete in environments focused on teaching, development, and positive competition.
Everything we emphasize is designed to build skills, basketball IQ, and confidence that translate directly to school play and long-term success.
Coaching & Training Environment
Teams are led by Coach Nate Swearengin and an experienced coaching staff dedicated to teaching the game at a high level. Players are coached on situational decision-making, skill execution, and how to compete effectively — not just drills, but understanding how to apply skills in real game settings.
